opinion:
I have the book read for the first time with about 12 years and now I am over 20 and yet the book has lost none of its charm. "Anne of Green Gables" will probably remain forever one of my favorite books. The siblings Matthew and Marilla
Cuthbert wanted to adopt a boy. But enough of the boy standing on her doorstep once Anne Shirley, whose greatest misfortune is her red hair. After some time and some turbulence due to Anne's lively imagination, the Cuthberts decide Anne retain. Because they have already concluded the little girl in her heart. So begins Anne's life in the small town of Green Gabel Avonlea. Quick finds her friends as enemies ....

The story is told wonderfully. They are happy and suffers with Anne. I can only recommend the book to everyone! As mentioned above, it will always be one of my favorites.

Anne - The Series:

The story of Anne was filmed as a series. I personally like the first part of the series very much. Unfortunately, the sequels were based less and less to the books and finally a completely different story came of it.

1. Anne of Green Gables (highly recommended)
2. Anne of Green Gables - The Sequel (To get started, very nice, but then leaves after)
3. Anne of Green Gables 3.Staffel (unfortunately nothing in common with the books)
4. Anne of Green Gables - A New Beginning (also newly invented story)

The Anime:

For Anne there two anime versions. Once in Germany also known series "Anne of Green Gables" (left) and then the anime "Konnichiwa Anne - Anne Before Green Gables" (right) goes where it to Anne's life before Green Gables.
