opinion:
A very well researched novel. The story is from the first-person perspective of Mary (Maria) Tudor, the only daughter of King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon says.
Mary Tudor was received as "Bloody Mary" in the story. But in this book you get to know not bloodthirsty and ruthless queen but a proud, friendly, courageous and strong-willed girl from the later, because of their bitter experiences, was a feared ruler.
The first-person perspective, you can put yourself into and very well in Mary suffers with her when she finally loses everything what was important to her and her sister is the servant.

The writing style of the book is smooth and not pompously. It can thus be read very well.
the beginning of the book we find a family tree of the Tudors. Here all the Wives of Henry VIII and his children are discussed.

now briefly to the German edition of the book. I regret very that I've not the English purchased. The cover (shown above) is a thousand times more beautiful and also the title more appropriate. I am also disturbed the Germanization of the name. Although I know that this is in most books like that, but I prefer the English originals: Mary - Mary, Henry - Henry, etc.
My next book the author will read my application be in English.


Conclusion:
A good historical novel about the childhood and youth of Mary Tudor. You learn a new Mary know that has little in common with the bloody Bloody Mary.

Opinion:
The history of cassia and Ky begins quietly, quietly and peacefully. It shows a future world to be perfect for their inhabitants seem. People seem to have no problems or concerns. For all they do is controlled by the government and the so-called system and determined. Be it food, clothes, fitness program, the selection of future career or the perfect partner for life.

As already mentioned, the story begins very quiet but what is regarded negatively in any way. Cassia is not a rebellious character, such as Katniss from "The Tribute of Panem. She takes her life back the way it is given to it. Only when she meets Ky change their views and they recognize that their world and life at large is not as perfect as the government entrichtert humans. So she begins to question everything and gets along with Ky more and more into the focus of the government ...

The characters and the fictitious future world are worked out very well. Ky and Cassia were sympathetic to me are from the beginning and me in the course of the book has grown increasingly fond of. But Xander is a very sympathetic character. The author makes a lot of time to their world, their structure and to describe the characters. The history could not be stopped but allows for a totally immersed in this world.
The end of the book was equally shocking and surprising and leaves the reader with anger, grief and hope (Cassia feelings hitherto alien) were returned.
I'm really looking forward to Volume 2!

Conclusion:
A wonderful prelude to a new Trilogy! I can recommend this book to anyone especially those readers have fallen, "The Tribute of Panem. Although the two is at first glance have little in common, however, a certain connection in the plot of the books.

weekend I had the first 9-holes on my home course. And this in glorious sunshine. Was a nice start to the Gulf in 2011. For this, the great victory of Mr. Kaymer in Abu Dhabi. What more could you want?

Today I had a little leisure, and then sought my golf goals, where you can really say afterwards: "This was now an exceptional round." And I was not thinking of the often over-priced round on famous people. More of the really unusual. For me the following places came to mind:

• Tromso . In Northern Norway. The northernmost golf course in the world
• Ushuaia . On the Beagle Channel in Argentina. The southernmost golf course in the world
• La Paz . In Bolivia's capital. The highest altitude golf course in the world
• Furnace Creek . In Death Valley. The most deeply situated golf course in the world

All are after my research is not too expensive. The green fee is usually under 30 €. Problem is more than the arrival. Charter flights I have not found it yet. But just 1 or 2 of that I would already like to play once in my life. Let's see ...

PS: I also look for the westernmost and easternmost of the world. Somehow I could not find it ... ;-)

opinion:
I have long wondered whether I start the series, the vampires I was really fed up. After lengthy back and forth, I bought Volume 1, but after all and I have not looked back!
For here not expecting a worn-vampire romance, a la innocent human girl / woman meets handsome vampire and falls in love. In "Drawn" revealed to the reader a completely new world in which the people of the existence of vampires (the authors have chosen this particular spelling) know, but still this fear and they are suspicious about.
protagonist is the 16 year old Zoey. Zoey is chosen suddenly one day, and thus drawn. As a result, which appears on its face, the outline of a crescent, and as quickly as possible in the House of Night must. For now it will make the change by a vampire. me the book has surprised positively. The History could hold me and carried away. Zoey was very sympathetic to me from the start and since it is all as new as the reader, we discovered by Zoyes eyes a completely new and unknown world.
Even the supporting characters are well worked out. All have their strengths and weaknesses, and loving, like Zoey you win it, or begins to hate (in this case, Zoey "enemy" Aphrodite).
The only thing that could pose a problem for some is the Sprachniveu of the book. The characters are still young and talk accordingly often in young people's language and use every now and then sometimes not so subtle words. I must say that I is not really very has disturbed. You get used to it pretty quickly and my reading pleasure has done no harm.

Conclusion:
Since this is Volume 1 of a series, the author takes time to the reader the world of vampires to get closer. The events of the book include a few days, but a good and promising start for the series. I'm curious how it goes!

opinion:

I love this series! Although it is now some years since I started a band but it is able to captivate me to this day.
time I had a phase where I'm totally happy to read time travel stories and adapted as "Anatolia Story" naturally perfect. Also, I've always been interested in the ancient world. The people of the Hittites I knew by then still not from the manga is my interest in this once great and powerful people meet. So I know about them and was amazed how much truth and correct historical facts, are in the manga. I was up on superficialities actually no historical accuracy expected and so I was very surprised to learn that there are people like Kail (Mursili III), his father, his brothers and even the Queen Nakia (a Babylonian princess who was not very nice also ;-)) really existed. There are many other persons from the have really lived, such as Ramses I, rulers of other nations.

has been really incredible effort and historical fact with fiction perfectly, in the form of the heroine Yuri, mixed.

True, the drawing style of manga is starting to get used to. However, this is one very soon no longer be on the drawings and from band to band better and better!

The love comes naturally, as it should be any different?, Not too short. Yuri and Kail are a great couple! You seen how both change over the course of the story and develop. Thus, from the very confused and helpless Yuri, a strong, confident and intelligent woman. And Kail, who had nothing in his head as flirtations, it means to be one of the greatest kings of ancient history and recognizes what true love.

extends the story of the manga over several years, and historical events which will take place at this time are woven into the story well. Also plays History not only in the kingdom of the Hittites, Yuri namely there it among others, to Egypt or to the kingdom of Mitanni.

all starts with the beautiful and innocent Tess Durbeyfield (Gemma Arterton, James Bond 007 - Quantum of Solace , Rock N Rolla ) dances like she in her white dress at the May Day celebration of her small home village . But soon it is with this idyllic past. Her parents, who are very poor, decide that the young Tess to the supposedly wealthy relatives, the D'Urbervilles is sent. There they will work as a simple maid and earn money for the family. Actually, this place should be a mainstay of men of honor and morality, but very quickly the poor Tess of the angry reality caught up. The son of the family, Alec D'Urbervilles (Hans Matheson; Les Miserables , The Mists of Avalon ) has his eye on it and gets by force what he owns in his opinion. He abused and raped, Tess, leaving then fled the estate. But that's not all long suffering: Back home, she gives birth out of this rape also has a young son, but is sick of the world and soon dies. opinion:
This four-part mini-series has drawn me from the first minute to the last under her spell! Tess was incredibly sympathetic to me a character with whom you could suffer and sympathize. Her story is romantic, sad, despairing, hopeful and tragic.
Tess is an inexperienced, naive and bona fide girl. So she does not suspect the intentions of the rich Alec pursues and eventually raped by him. Back home she gives birth to an illegitimate son who dies but soon. Because of the contempt of the Church to an impure woman and a bastard, this may beg and plead for Tess and not be buried in holy ground. Tess escapes from her home and looking for work in a place where nobody knows their past. It will eventually milkmaid and meets Angel the Pfarresssohn again, she has already met briefly at a Maitanz few years ago. It is as it must, both fall madly into each other. But Tess is because of their unsettled past. Angel Can she still love when he learns the truth? Her mother does not recommend this step. But Tess tormenting doubts, they can never be completely happy until her conscience is clear and the truth Angel said. When she confesses her past, the tragedy its course ... could

Tess character evolved from the young, naive girl in history to that of a strong, courageous and squabbling with their fate woman. She often wonders why she deserves such a disaster. All they seem to love is taken from it. But it is up to the end never had the courage and fight on ...

Before I too much of tell the story, I would like to take this opportunity to commend the wonderful landscapes in the film. The story is set in southern England and the landscapes are absolutely beautiful! The sets and costumes of the film are fantastic.

Conclusion:
A wonderful, romantic and sad movie. No later than four in a row, one should keep a handkerchief ready, because who has yet to shed any tears there, it will at least do now.
